2021 Global Digital Economy Conference was successfully held at CNCC
2021 Global Digital Economy Conference (GDEC) was held at CNCC from August 2 to 3. With the theme of " "Innovation-led and Data-Driven: Building a Benchmark City for Global Digital Economy", the conference was hosted by the People's government of Beijing Municipality, the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), the Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) and the Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC). The conference was held in “one main venue and three sub-venues”, and consisted of the Digital Economy Experience Week, Global Digital Economy Innovation Competition and other activities. More than 20 parallel forums and launching conferences were held through the combination of physical and virtual formats.

As the main venue for the Conference, CNCC provided the Ballroom and some conference rooms on the third floor as the forum space, for the opening ceremony and main session and other parallel forums, such as Industrial Internet Forum on Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Coordinated Development, and Information Consumption and Digital Life Special Forum.

In addition, the Conference set up a special exhibition area with the theme of "Empower through Digital Intelligence and Create a New Scene of Digital City". 14 enterprises such as Baidu, Huawei, Tencent and REAL AI set on-site display. The exhibition focused on cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence, block chain and virtual reality, and exhibited new technologies and products of digital economy development in Beijing.

While meeting epidemic prevention and control requirements, the organizers and CNCC acted in unity and made a collective response. The conference rooms were set in strict accordance with the epidemic prevention requirements. The venue also took effective measures including increasing the ventilation frequency, maintaining social distancing, and reminding guests to wear masks throughout the event.
